BORGO MAGREDO, Merlot Friuli Grave DOC

    GRAPES:
    Merlot 100%

    WINEMAKING:
Harvested during the first ten days of September, the grapes are de-stemmed and their skins remain in contact with the musts for 4 days after the harvest, in proper wine-making containers at controlled tempera-tures. After soft pressing, they are subject to the ma-lolactic process. Part of the wine is briefly refined in barrels, in order to determine its color and increase its longevity. It is left in yeasts for at least three months.

Beautifully intense and ruby-red in the glass, it also proves intriguing to the nose which perceives the in-tense scent of forest fruits that fades away leaving a slight spicy hint. One sip and you’ll find it initially soft, before opening up to reveal its engulfing elegant cha-racter.

BORGO MAGREDO, Traminer Friuli Grave DOC

    GRAPES:
    Traminer 100%

    WINEMAKING:
Traminer’s harvesting occurs during the first days of September, at sunrise when cool temperatures allow for these grape’s aroma to be better preserved. Once gathered, the grapes undergo de-stemming and from this moment onward, the entire wine-making process is carried out in complete ‘reduction’ (completely la-cking oxygen). Temperatures are controlled so to pre-serve the fruit’s perfumes as much as possible. Wine-making occurs entirely in steel; the wine remains in yeasts with frequent stirrings for at least 4 months.

To the sight, this wine is straw-yellow with greenish glimmers. The scents that it gives off in the glass are intense and well-defined, recalling wild rose and exo-tic fruit. Known for its delicate body, this wine distin-guishes itself for its pleasantly sour, fresh nature. Its elegant structure is matched with a distinct flavor.

BORGO MAGREDO, Pinot Grigio Friuli Grave DOC

    VARIETALES:
    Pinot Grigio
